Matcha tea in the form of a delicate, celadon-colored powder in an elegant 80g tin.
Matcha is a unique, one might even say noble, type of green tea. Before it's harvested, the tea bushes are covered with mats for several weeks to slow their growth. During this process, the leaves release amino acids, giving the tea a richer flavor and aroma and becoming slightly sweeter than teas like sencha. The resulting leaves, with their pastel green hue, are dried and ground. The resulting powder, the final form of matcha, is an ingredient in many exquisite Japanese desserts. It is also used to make a unique tea served during tea ceremonies —Chanoyu.
Due to matcha's consistency, it must be handled with care. The powder is so fine and light that a moment of inattention can result in a green cloud rising, which, as it settles, covers everything around it with tea. Preparation:
Put the tea in the cup
Pour boiling water over it
Wait 2-3 minutes and enjoy your tea
